In terms of production effect, both emulsifier and colloid mill can grind materials. General speaking, the colloid mill has strong adaptability to materials with high viscosity or large particles. It can refine solid or large particles. It is usually installed and used in the previous process of the emulsifier. And it can also directly deal with high viscosity. However, the colloid grinding effect is weaker than that of the emulsifier.
The difference between emulsifier and colloid mill can be seen in the processing effects of specific materials, such as particle size, solid content, hardness, and viscosity.
The refinement processing of small particle materials can be carried out with an emulsifier. If the particles of the material are larger, it can be processed with a colloid mill.
For the fine processing of high solid content materials, it is better to use colloid mills. For materials with low solid content, there is little difference between the refinement processing effects.
For materials with low hardness and low solid content, it is better to use an emulsifying machine for processing. Otherwise, use a colloidal mill.
If the solid content of the material is high, or the viscosity is high, it needs to be processed with a colloid mill.
