Standard bottom homogenizer

1. Rotor stator homogenizer (high shear emulsifying head)

Most suitable: regular lotion, cream, lotion, suspension.

This is the most widely used design. It consists of a high-speed rotating rotor and a stator with precision slots. When the rotor is running at high speed, the material is sucked into the small gaps between the rotor and stator, generating strong shear forces and cavitation effects, which break the droplets or particles to the micrometer level.

✅ Advantages: High efficiency, good reproducibility, and easy maintenance.
✅ Typical effect: The droplet size can reach 1-10 microns, which can meet about 80% of cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.

2. Internal and external Homogenizer with Recirculation Loop

Most suitable for: high viscosity pastes, thick creams, and processes that require overall flipping and circulation.

Unlike the top entry type, the bottom homogenizer is installed below the emulsification tank. It is usually used in conjunction with a frame type scraper mixer, which can continuously flip viscous materials and effectively avoid mixing dead corners. This design ensures that materials pass through the homogenization head multiple times during each batch production process.

✅ Advantages: Especially suitable for products with viscosity>50000 cP, it can shorten processing time.
✅ Typical applications: hair conditioner, ointment, Skin care gel.

How to choose?

Choosing a suitable homogenizer design requires comprehensive consideration of the following factors:

Target particle size: Conventional micron sized (1-10 μ m) rotor stator selection; Pursuing sub micron or even nanometer scale, considering multi-level or high-pressure homogenization.

Material viscosity: Low to medium viscosity can be selected from top or external circulation homogenizers; Priority should be given to bottom entry for high viscosity materials.

Production scale: Small batch production with selection of in tank type; It is recommended to choose the external circulation type for large-scale or continuous production.

Installing a suitable homogenizer on a vacuum emulsifier is not just about configuring a component, but also providing a more professional production process for the stability and delicacy of your product.

Our technical team can recommend the most suitable homogenizer combination solution based on your specific formula and production goals.
